ANTI-SUICIDE PROGRAM:
A Very Special, Transformative Program
'It gets better'
We have designed a course that has been transformative in the lives of those who attend. The value of resiliency, self-discipline, self-respect (not just self-esteem), and maturation make this program outstandingly effective. Attendees can learn skills to truly help them in their pursuit of a better life. 'It Gets Better' attacks issues that are plaguing our country's youth but especially valuable men and women in the armed forces. When this program was conducted at the California, Arkansas and Tennessee Yellow Ribbon conferences, it was met with thankful applause and standing ovations. Young airmen, soldiers and their families responded incredibly well and their reaction was heartfelt. Many said it had a powerful effect on the way they approached their lives and on their thought processes for the better. A year later, after attending the seminar, we were approached by service members who shared that the seminar actually changed their lives. One youngman in particular said it saved his life. That's incredibly moving. We were and are humbled to be part of such a powerful experience.
Anyone can bring this program into their organization or business. The stats from the CDC recently reported that one in four Americans under the age of 35 had considered suicide as a means of "escape". We have to address this. We are losing too many and even one is too many.
